the word agriculture is came from latin. agri means soil and culture means cultivation. in short agriculture means tilling of soil for cultivation of crops. In agriculture there many types of farming: (I) mixed farming: in mixed farming animals are also used  for cultivation of crops.(2)subsitence farming: in this type of farming the the production consumed by his own family.(3)shifting cultivation: in this type of cultivation a plot of land is cleared and cultivator cultivate the crops by burning and felling of the trees. the ashes of trees mix with soil which make it fertile when the soil starts loosing its fertile the cultivator moves to other places in serach of a new plot.


in india a farmer consist about 0.5 hectares but in foreing countries like USA a farmer consist 10 hectacres.in india about one third of population is depend on the agriculture
