Conversation between a father and his son on thrift:

Father: Dear son, I have seen you not using things optimally. You must not waste anything, money in particular.

Son: Father when have I done it?

Father: Son, you are too young to realize it! You do it in almost everything. You leave food in your plate. You don’t finish the milk in your cup. And every day you demand pocket money for eatables in spite of taking lunchbox.

Son: Father I never mean to leave anything, but I admit I am tempted to take more always I think. As far as taking pocket money is concerned, every friend of mine takes it. During break every friend of mine goes to canteen, so I also accompany them.

Father: Dear son, you must learn the value of thrift son. You know you must not spend money at canteen every day. I have to put aside some money for your education. You know after +2 a lot of money will be spent on your admission. Then we have to save some money for your sister’s future as well. Do you get my point?

Son: Ok father, in future I will be careful. I will always keep thrift in mind. Thanks for the counseling.
