Counter view- In the past, primary education was made compulsory for children, which ensured that they do not make a dropout in their education. Nowadays, many students are coerced or need to stop their primary education due to financial, domestic problems or living in remote areas. That means that their primary education is not always compulsory, especially for those studying in rural areas.
COUNTERVIEW :-
Children in past were better than those of them in India today.
Children in present and past times lived a different sort of lifestyle from each other. There are a lot of changes that have took place and are taking place day by day in the society. Children in India today live an advanced technological lifestyle whereas those in past lived an ever healthy life. Today's children spend more time in internet sitting at one position while those of past were active and spent more time in playing outdoor games. They would eat nutritious food hence they had a good immune system. They were physically and mentally fit and lived a stress-free life. Whereas today the kids are addicted towards video games, social media or different internet platforms. They sit at one position for a long duration in front of a screen which would release harmful radiation that affect their eyes. Hence there immunity power is very weak and they face many sicknesses in their early age. Today the health care services have improved but health of people was much better in past.
Today, there is a spread of literacy all over India on a wide scale. Children have a cumpulsion of taking atleast primary education from school. There was involvement of child labour, child marriage and many such issues in past which are being resolved in present by the effective usage of appropriate laws against them. The spread of literacy gives a better opportunity for employment. However due to increase in population compared to the olden times there is a lack of employment in the country. Advance in technology and spread of literacy has helped in development of agricultural techniques. Today farmers use inorganic fertilizers and pesticides that are hazardous to environment as well as health of people. In earlier times people worked hard in fields and grew crops by usage of oraganic fertilizers which would initially help in the growth of crops.
