Good morning everyone present; I am going to express my views on ‘Teaching Profession Is Better Than Medical Profession’, and I am going to speak in favor of it.  

Teachers are the greatest of all professionals; in spite of knowing there is not much money in it, certain men and women shoulder the responsibility of spreading the light of education all around. They are the best social-servants; they are the best contributors to the society.  

According to Helen Caldicott teachers are the most responsible and important members of society and their efforts determine the fate of earth. I strongly believe behind every successful professional, be it medical or any other profession, is a hardworking teacher.  

Teachers like Miss Sullivan bring light in the dark world of students like Helen Keller. Teachers’ greatness can not be defined in words.  

I agree medical profession is noble too; but it is not as noble as teaching. A doctor has the responsibility of healing the sick; but a teacher has the responsibility to make future citizens for all walks of life. he is responsible for making scientists, doctors, engineers, accountants, managers, sportspersons, judges, lawyers, and many more other professionals.  

In conclusion it can be said that teaching profession is certainly better than medical profession.

I stand before you to support the motion that, teaching profession is better than medical profession.

You can be the candle that spreads its fight and you can fight up millions of tiny lamps as you pass through fife as a teacher.’ Teaching has always been and continues to be a noble profession. Commercialisation has touched it but not seeped right through it. The medical profession has been transformed today. Doctors take the oath but a large number seem to transform their conscience into a commercial money spinning machine. Doctors’ shops have mushroomed at every nook and comer in our cities. Teaching involves interactive sharing process which can transform the fives and outlook of an individual. The destiny and character of many a leading personality has been shaped in the classrooms. The future of the nation and the future of entire mankind is based on the values imbibed in the early impressionable years of life.

If illiteracy is removed from our country a major problem for us will get solved. Even today an ordinary teacher has basic values and lives a simple life. Doctors on the other hand run after the luxuries of life. All in all it can easily be said that teaching profession is better than the medical profession
