Answer:

I live in the Manchester of India, Ludhiana. It is in the prosperous, green, and water-rich state of Punjab. I love my city. It has everything in it. Ludhiana is situated on the banks of river Sutlej, which flows in the north of the city. A distributary of the Sutlej flows through the city as a consequence the agricultural fertility of the land in and around the city is quite fertile. The per hectare yield of the wheat and paddy crop is one of the highest in the country.

Ludhiana is known as known for industry and hosiery. The renowned Punjab Agriculture University is situated in Ludhiana. This University has done many pioneer works in improving agricultural techniques for the farmers of the state. Famous hospitals, such as Dyananad Medical Hospital and College, CMC, Fortis, Apollo, etc are also situated in the city where people from far and wide visit them for medical care and treatment.

In the recent past, the infrastructure in the city has grown exponentially. Ludhiana was one of the hundred cities selected by the Government of India to be made a smart city. Many world-class schools, colleges, malls, hotels have been constructed in the city. The city is divided into the old city and the new city. The old city consists of congested markets, colonies, and old buildings. On the other hand, the new city is well planned with PUDA approved colonies, posh markets, state-of-the-art buildings and infrastructure.

I am closely attached to this city. I have grown up in its loving lap playing on its sacred grounds, studying in its knowledge-giving schools and colleges. All my wonderful memories of success, achievements and joys are associated with this great city. It is like fertile earth and I am like a tree that has grown on it. I love my city.
