The perfect house is a place where a person feels safe not only from the elements but also from all the worries and troubles of the outside world. I can confidently claim that I am a happy owner of a house where I feel relaxed and confident and where I want to spend as much time as I can. I do like going out and visiting new places, but only at home, I can be completely free and comfortable. It is a place filled with good memories and a place where I hope to start my own family someday. My house may not look impressive for many, but it is special for me, as I love every small detail in it.
My house has a dark red roof and beige walls, as well as brown wooden windows that can be wide opened on sunny days. I especially love the window in the living room as it faces the street where large old oak trees grow. The house has only three bedrooms, one living room, one kitchen, and one bathroom. However, all rooms except for one bedroom are spacious and filled with natural light. I love windows facing the sunny side, and I cannot even imagine how people live in dark, shady apartments with limited natural light. There is a door that leads from the kitchen to the small backyard, so my family has an opportunity to have a dinner outside when the weather is fine. We also have the small garage on the left side of the house, and my father likes to call it his office. He spends a lot of time there as he likes designing and constructing different technical stuff.
The house is surrounded by the green lawn that my father cuts and waters regularly. My mother, in turn, is fond of gardening, so we have many roses on both sides of the patio. In spring and summer, they smell deliciously and attract envious eyes of our neighbors who do not understand why their own roses look so mediocre compared to ours. The territory is also surrounded by the fence, which mainly has a decorative purpose. There is also a plane tree growing in the backyard, under which my father put a nice wooden table with chairs.
As for the interior, my house has nothing exceptional. It has a regular zoning and was apparently built by an architect with too little imagination. However, my mother managed to make this place special. I need to note that my mother likes minimalism, so she puts all things in wardrobes and cupboards. As a result, there is much space in our house, and one cannot risk banging into numerous decorative chairs and tables. However, the rooms do not look empty. We have may high-quality, comfortable pieces of furniture like the large brown leather couch in the living room, a soft white carpet in my bedroom, or an amazing wooden table in the kitchen that I love the most. All things fit each other well, which shows that my mother took pains to work on the design.
Moreover, my mother and I love house plants, so there are plenty of them in all the rooms. We have large and small ones, with long and short leaves, with flowers and without them. Surprisingly, our house does not look like jungles, as my father constructed beautiful wooden shelves and hangers to arrange everything nicely. I love days when the sun is shining into the window, and the leaves begin glowing with this deep green color. It feels like the house is part of the outside world, only more peaceful and comfortable. I can say that my parents know how to create the special atmosphere in the house, and I admit that I need to learn much from them to transform a regular house into an exceptional home.
