I would probably laminate some articles pre- and post-election so people might understand the shock the country is in with #45 as president. I would also select some web pages with popular devices such as the iPhone and Kindle, print them out and laminate them.
I would include some articles (also laminated to preserve them) showing the history of the stock market.
Putting in anything that requires technology to use would be a waste. The batteries may die out and anyone in the far future may not have the ability to charge them. Likewise for media such as optical disks or video tape — they probably would not have the proper equipment to use them.
