Today, I went to a government hospital in Delhi to see my grandfather, who was admitted to the hospital a few days for his eye operation. Initially, I thought the hospital would be full of patients fighting for their checkups and medicines, but I saw that the government hospital was very hygienic and clean when I reached there. The hospital had a parking lot, extensive gardens for people to sit and walk, a canteen, an emergency building, an operation theatre, and some wards. The doctors were doing their jobs excellently. Some civil defence volunteers were looking after cleanliness and proper order in the hospital. The hospital was under CCTV surveillance. Some guards were checking the i.d. cards, temperature, and masks of the visitors due to the ongoing pandemic. A receptionist was there to note down the information of visitors on a computer. A guard was there outside the ward of my grandfather who asked us to sanitize our hands before entering the room. Overall I was surprised to see the facilities in the government hospital in Delhi.
