Independence Day celebration in school
Independence Day was celebrated in our school in a grand manner as always. The campus was cleaned thoroughly and the entire school campus was decorated in the colors of the Indian Flag. We the students decorated the campus, the school ground, the entrance, the labs and the office rooms with festoons.
A huge Rangoli with flowers was done where the flag was to be hoisted. Pictures of our freedom fighters were pinned up everywhere.
The entire school bore an air of patriotism. Our special guest for the day was the District Collector, who very kindly obliged to be the Chief Guest, despite his hectic schedule. He addressed us in an awe-inspiring speech and all of us was filled with pride at being Indians.
His other commitments prevented him from staying the entire duration and witnessing the cultural program that followed. Nevertheless, all of us were very happy to have him in our midst on the occasion.
This was truly an Independence Day celebration to be remembered.
