Every child's story?
When he heard the noise, Max put down his book and ran to the window. There was a lot of hustle-bustle going on. Not having a bit of idea of what's happening around, the curious Max stepped out and the sight of an elderly man and woman beating a boy of around 14 years old welcomed him.
Unpleased by the sight, he averted his gaze to the side to see people making no effort to stop rather keep on watching the scene as if there is some movie going on. The fear in the eyes of the younger one's of the same age and them stealing the glances of their respective parents periodically didn't go unnoticed.
The idea he was having about the scene got stronger and he immediately jumped into the scene, dragged that small boy behind his protective back bringing the beatings to halt. The furious dad glared at Max and asked him to move aside. Max patiently waited for a while and asked about the happenings. The mother came ahead and said how her son failed scoring in a subject bringing down the family's prestige and kept on ranting about the hopes they kept upon him.
Max took the control of the situation anyhow and asked the parents who were present there to look into their child's eyes, asked what they found there. Though none responded, the answer is 'Sheer fear'. Then, he lovingly asked each child about their dreams and what they are good at. Every child present there presented with something they are good at and let people go 'awe!'. While some ran to their homes to come back with the little inventions they made and explained about them with a bright twinkle and full smile letting every heart present there know why they say 'every child is special'.
Max found guilt in stopping their children from reaching their goals in every parent's face. He sighed and explained to them how being good in one domain is all enough to step into the successful path in life. He made them aware of the enormous career opportunities present out there, and helped them in understanding 'the success and happiness lie in doing what we love rather than what we were forced to do, be how many bucks it may store in our bank account.'
Parent's realized their mistakes and promised themselves to deal with their child patiently, with love, while giving them enough space to pursue their dreams. Expressing their gratitude to Max, they with their kid left to their respective homes.
Max came back to his room and his eyes fell on a photograph. He carefully picked it up and hugged it close to his heart, while a tear slide down his cheeks, lips left a murmur. Maybe it's "Sorry kiddo! We failed you. We make sure that no kid goes through the pressure you had gone through all because of us. Sorry!"
Note: Apologies. I wanted to portray the emotions, which is why it went big. You can write a summary of this cutting it down to 300-350 words.
