Answer:The NMR or the nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy is used in the detection of a carbocation which known as an ion with a positive charge carbon atom.

The first  of the NMR spectrum for detection of stable carbocation in solution was published by Doering et al. in 1958.

It is the destabilization of carbocations with electron-withdrawing groups that gives rise to certain properties which are unique to the system of carbocation, and has resulted in a number of recent investigations of  the structures of these unique system and reactivities.
