Occupational structure referred to as the distribution of population according to various types of occupation the occupation are usually categories into three forms -

1- PRIMARY OCCUPATION are those in which natural resources are extracted from the earth ex. Agriculture, mining etc

2-SECONDARY OCCUPATION are those in which the extracted natural resources are processed into products for use ex. Manufacturing etc

3- TERTIARY OCCUPATION are those which support the primary and secondary by services ex. Banking, commerce etc
