plants conduct water through xylem tissue and it is uni directional.

similarly the food is transported through pholem tissue and it is bi-directional

Xylem

Phloem

Xylem:This tissue helps in the conducting of water in the plants from roots to the upper part of the plant. It is unidirectional transportation.

It's parts are divided into: tracheids, vessels, xylem paranchyma, xylem slcrenchyma.

Phloem: This helps the transportation of food/nutrients synthesized by the leaves to all parts of the plant. It's bidirectional transportation.

It's parts are divided into: sieve plates, companion cells, phloem paranchyma, phloem slcrenchyma.
