Pakistan has a strategically important geo-political location, has Afghanistan, China, India and Iran in immediate neighborhood, is at the corridor of world major maritime oil supply lines, is located between gas & oil rich middle east and world's population centres (East & South Asia). Pakistan has been maintaining a tensed relationship with neighbouring Republic of India and close relationships with People's Republic of China and Arab nations. Pakistan is a member of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is named by the US as a major non-NATO ally in the war against terrorism and one of founding members of IMCTC.
