Taiga are also called as coniferous forests. We find these type of vegetation in higher altitudes like 50degrees to 70degrees of the northern hemisphere.There are many types of flora and fauna are found.Himalayas also experiences and comes under taiga forests.Animals like polar bears,mink,silver fox etc, are found in this terai region. Trees like chir,pine,cedar are the very important in this region.They all are tall,softwood,evergreen trees.These trees are very useful for making pulp-used for making paper.Things like match boxes and packing boxes are also made from softwood.
