1- A peninsula is a piece of land which is surrounded by water on three sides.

2- Indian peninsula is surrounded by Arabian sea on the west, Bay of Bengal on the east and Indian ocean on the south.

3- The peninsular land is formed by the Eastern ghats, Western ghats, Deccan plateau, Satpura and Vindhya Ranges.
