Plants have two different types of 'transport' tissue. Xylem transports water and solutes from the roots to the leaves, phloem transports food from the leaves to the rest of the plant. Transpiration is the process by which water evaporates from the leaves, which results in more water being drawn up from the roots.

Transport system in plants is less elaborate than in animals.Plants are less active,so their cells do not need to be supplied with materials so quickly.
The plants have two transport system :
1.Xylem:-Which carries water and minerals
2.Phloem:-which carries the food materials which the plants makes
Phloem also carries the hormones made by the plants in their root and shoot tips.
