Write a dialogue between a father and son minimum of three exchanges
Answers
(Seeing his son watching TV during the examination days, the father gets annoyed at him.)
Father: Hey son, why are you wasting your precious time? You have your Math examination tomorrow, don’t you? Are you doing the revision on the TV channels?
Son: Yes father, I am just taking a short break. I have been studying for two hours, so I thought of taking a break!
Father: It is good to take breaks. But son, watching TV is not the only way to take a break. It will influence your retention adversely. TV programmes will distract your focus and concentration. You can go for a short walk; or you can have a short nap; or a cup of coffee for a break!
Son: Sorry father. I just switched it on casually. I appreciate your involvement and concern for my studies. You are right. TV distracts the mind. The mind gets busy processing the stimuli presented to us. We unnecessarily waste our time processing the irrelevant information seen on sundry channels.
Father: I would never have pointed it to you son if you would not have such a crucial exam tomorrow. Do take proper breaks. Practice and revise as many times as you can. You will surely perform well.
Son: Thanks father for your advice, care, and love.
Son: Hi mom! Guess what happened in school today?
Father: Hey! You are so excited! What happened? I'm eager!
Son: We had a chess competition in our school which was the selections for the district level tournaments.
Father: Wow! Did you participate?
Son: I didn't want to! But, my friends forced my saying that I was good in chess.
Father: And? How did it go?
Son: I won the second place and I will be representing my school in the district level chess competition.
Father: That's great! I'm so proud of you!
Son: The competition is a week away and I need to practice everyday.
Father: Yeah! And I know you will do great in the competition also. I am so happy for you.
