Student: Kindly, issue me the book the last time, after this I won’t have it reissued.
Librarian: You had said the same thing on previous occasion. Why don’t you understand I can’t issue reference books longer than a week? Last time hearing your story, I bypassed the rules.
Student: Madam, kindly have pity on me. My parents are too poor to afford such kinds of expensive books. Actually, I am writing the entire book on a register. Just a few chapters are left that I will complete within 3 to 4 days.
Librarian: Ok. This is the last time I am issuing this book to you. My own job can be in danger for breaking the rules. I hope you will return it in two or three days. I will find out some way until then as many students are demanding this book also.
Student: Thanks madam. Sure I will return it within three days.
Student: May I come in sir?
Librarian: Yes, come.
Student: Sir may I know the reason why you have called me.
Librarian: Yes. We have been notified that a book “Beginning Theory” has been issued on your name which is not returned yet. Pay the late fine and return the book at the earliest or you will not be allowed to it in the coming final exam.
Student: Sir, I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused because of me. Actually Sir, I have do not have the money to pay the late fine and besides, I lost my library card even to reissue the book. Sir, please consider my situation and let me keep the book till the exams are over. I promise you to return it to you immediately after the exams are over.
Librarian: Well, it is against the rule, but okay I give you the permission to keep the book till your exams.
Student: Thank you so much sir.
