Write a dialogue between a young boy, Ravi, and his friend, about Ravi’s
ambition in life.
Answers
Friend: Ravi, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Ravi: I don't know. I have too many choices.
Friend: Tell me your top 3 choices.
Ravi: Well, I really want to be a pilot, a chef and a scientist.
Friend: How come you are interested in so many different fields?
Ravi: Well, I have been on an aeroplane just once, but I really enjoyed it. The only trouble was that the windows were very small. If I become a pilot, I will sit in the cockpit. The cockpit has much bigger windows.
Friend: That is funny, but logical. What about being a chef? Are you very fond of food?
Ravi: No, not really. Actually, my mother thinks I am a fussy eater, but she forces me to eat whatever is made at home.
Friend: Now I understand. If you learn how to cook, you won't have to eat whatever your mother asks you to.
Ravi: Exactly! It will make my life easier.
Friend: This reason is too silly! Do you have a funny reason behind wanting to be a scientist too?
Ravi: No, nothing silly about it. I think the world needs new inventions.
Friend: Like?
Ravi: Like a pen that could write down everything we dictate to it.
Friend: Oh God, you are too funny! But I would love to have a pen like that! I will motivate you to become a scientist.
Ravi: These were just this week's ideas. Every week I have new ideas.
Friend: So your ambitions keep changing each week?
Ravi: Yes, my father says that it is good to have an open mind.
Friend: Well, tell me about your new thoughts next week. I really enjoyed listening to your entertaining ideas today.
Ravi: Sure.
