Answer:

NEW DELHI: India literally saved its best for the last at the Tokyo Olympics on Saturday. Men's javelin throw was the last event for the country at the Games, and one of India's biggest gold-medal hopes, Neeraj Chopra, was in the reckoning.

The field was full of world class throwers, including Germany's Johannes Vetter; but the pressure of the final, perhaps, got to him, while Neeraj soaked it in and created history -- winning only the second individual gold medal for India and the first in 121 years by a track and field athlete representing India. It is also independent India's first ever medal in athletics.

TimesofIndia.com was part of the media invited by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) for a press conference with the champion.

A dialogue between Neeraj Chopra and a Ryanite in school scenario.

Explanation:

  • Neeraj Chopra: Good Morning everyone present here. I am glad to address a dynamite student population.
  • Ryanite: Sir, so what is the key to remain persistent in any task?
  • Neeraj Chopra: A key to remain persistent and determined is to practice them in everyday lives. Practice makes a man perfect.
  • Ryanite: Sir, how do you overcome obstacles in multi-tasking?
  • Neeraj Chopra: So, multi- tasking itself requires a lot of planning. When you organize all your activities and plan them, then, you can easily multi- task. Again, practice is the key. Thank You
