Nurse 1: It is time for the duty roster to change.

Nurse 2: Yes, they change it each Wednesday.

Nurse 1: I really don't enjoy night shifts, but it is good that the shift timings get changed every two weeks.

Nurse 2: The hospital authorities are sensible that way. Even they know that night shifts are difficult;so they don't keep the same person working nights for more than two weeks.

Nurse 1: Thank goodness for that.

Nurse 2: But I think this time the duty roster will be a little different. Naina has requested the authorities to excuse her from the night shift for at least a month.

Nurse 1: Why did she put in such a request? It's not fair to the rest of us.

Nurse 2: It does sound unfair, but her aged parents are both unwell. So she needs to be with them at night.

Nurse 1: Oh, I didn't know that. I feel guilty about what I just said.

Nurse 2: Don't worry. You didn't say anything on purpose.

Nurse 1: Well, in that case we must support her. I think I'll volunteer to cover her night shifts.

Nurse 2: That is a great idea. She is a good person, and I am sure she will return the favour later.

Nurse 1: I am not looking for returns or gains. I just felt like volunteering. That's it.

Nurse 2: That's even better then! Come let's go check the roster. It must have been put up by now.
