EXPLANATION:

(Scene: Teacher is sitting in the staffroom and the student is going to meet her there to discuss the upcoming cultural program)

Student (Suhan): “Good Morning Madam! May I come in please?”

Teacher: “Good Morning Suhan! Please come in”.

Suhan: “Madam, I would like to discuss with you about the upcoming inter-school dance cultural program”.

Teacher: “Yes Suhan! I was too wanting to talk to you about the same”.

Suhan: “Madam, have you decided on the theme?”

Teacher: “No! Not really, I had been busy with the class XI and XII assessments. May be you can suggest a few themes?”

Suhan: “Madam, I was thinking how about having folk dance of different states as the theme or festival dances of different states?”

Teacher: “Both sounds good! We can opt for festival dances of different states”.

Suhan: “Okay Madam! I will zero down on that”.

Teacher: “Having decided the theme, let’s send invitation to the schools”.

Suhan: “How many schools are being invited this year”.

Teacher: ‘The Principal had told me not more than 25-30 schools”.

Suhan: “Wouldn’t that be too many?”

Teacher: “Not at all! We would divide schools in three groups and select the best two or three to perform for the final. Then we will decide the top three and award them prizes. Which means, each school has to prepare for two forms of festivals dance. One for the initial round and if selected one for the final round”.

Suhan: “What about the judges for the competition?”

Teacher: “The Principal has decided on calling two alumni of our school who are famous choreographers in reputed dance academies, along with calling three of our retired school teachers who were active in cultural activities of the school”.  

Suhan: “That sounds really interesting! I am sure we would have an exciting and challenging competition amongst schools”.

Teacher: “Fine Suhan! You start sending out the invitations through email. Get the email addresses of the schools from the Principal’s office. Once done keep me updates, and we can proceed with the other arrangements”.

Suhan: “Yes Madam! I shall do that today itself”.

Suhan: “Thank you Madam!”

Teacher: “Welcome!”
