Two friends are meeting after a long time. Their

conversation is worth hearing:

First friend: Hey what a nice surprise! After such a long

time! Where have you been?

Second friend: (hugging each other) My goodness! Look at

you! You have not changed at all! Well, I got busy in my father’s business.

First friend: I know! How is the family?

Second friend: Thanks. The family is quite good! How is your

family?

First friend: Thanks! They all are good!

Second friend: How much fun we had! Childhood and school

days are golden period of a man’s life, aren’t they?

First friend: Undoubtedly! Nothing can be as wonderful as

childhood and school life! I wish I would never grow old!

Second friend: Do you remember we always used to sit

together at the last desk? Studies used to be at the bottom of our priority

list! We would eat, gossip, play pranks and would often get punishment!

First friend: I remember! We would never do our homework!

During those days the punishment was much harder. Unlike the present times, our

teachers used to inflict corporal punishment on us; we smilingly bore it!

Second friend: Do you remember what we usually did when the

classes were held alfresco in winter?

First friend: How can I forget? We would watch kites in the

sky and the teachers could not make us look down at our books! In retrospect, I

think we were very mischievous.

Second friend: True! How carefree those days were! But as we

grew up, we lost all that freedom. The responsibilities of life have deprived

us of the fun we used to have.

First friend: Hey, why don’t we revive that childhood of

ours by meeting more frequently? What do you say?

Second friend: You almost said my words! Let’s plan to meet

more often and try to live like the children we used to be!
