Dear Diary,

I was on a train journey from Kolkata to Delhi last Thursday at night , travelling with my older cousin to visit his family for the summer holidays. It was an enjoyable experience, looking at the changing scenes outside the window, a sixteen hours journey full of interesting conversations with our co-passengers, sampling the tolerably palatable train food, reading the latest Amitav Ghosh book and feeling time passing by without moving around much. What I most relished during the journey was reading the names of tiny obscure stations that I'd not have known if not for the train journey.
