Dear Diary
Today was my lucky day. My class teacher informed me that I had been selected for the quiz contest as I had performed well in the district level quiz competition. I felt very excited yet nervous at the same time.My classmates started clapping for me and my happiness knew no bounds.
The principal of our school invited me to his office and along with the other teachers, gifted me a basket full of chocolates.
Now everyone at school would know me. I had indeed become the 'talk of the town'.
I was feeling very proud as I was representing my school and the best of all- the quiz would be cast on live television. My friends congratulated me. At home, my parents and relatives showered loads of blessings on me.
I have been told to prepare for the quiz from today onwards as the quiz competition will be held just after seven days.
It is a thing of great importance and honour for me so I would start my preparations as soon as possible to win laurels at the national level and make my parents feel proud again.
I'm eagerly waiting for the 'grand day' to arrive.
It's already 12'o clock. Time to sleep, goodbye.
