Dear Diary,

I am so fortunate. After that change that came walking through my door uninvited 10 years ago, I had felt that nothing would ever be right again. My hearing disability was like a shock to me. I thought I could never achieve what I had dreamt of. But today I have achieved so much of success. I was presented today with the most prestigious award that a singer could get – A Grammy! I feel so happy and grateful to God, to my family and friends for standing by me. My parents gave me hope and strength whenever I felt I couldn’t bear it any longer. Mr. Forbes, my teacher - the person who spotted my talent and believed in me. He would always tell me that our minds are infinitely powerful. When my ears failed to accept the tunes, my other senses developed a unique way of feeling music. I could see the lyrics and the notes. My skin could feel every beats. I worked hard and strengthened my will power, and look where has it got me today. I am an inspiration for so many today who think of giving up on their dreams because of their physical disabilities. This is the real success! Nothing makes me happier and feel so peaceful.

Goodnight diary.
