April 6: This is it, summer vacation, day 2. I intend to have a lot of fun over these next 2 months. I have so many plans, so many ideas, so many things planned, friends to meet, cricket to play, books to read. This is going to be great. I think the first day of summer vacation is usually the best day. We have all these plans, all the ideas and the potential of time in front of us. The moment you realize you have two whole months stretched in front of you with the freedom to do whatever you wanted, that moment is the happiest in any school student’s life (except the board going students)
May 8: Today is probably the saddest day in the vacation. I just realized that there is homework to be done. The crushing realization that there is schoolwork to be done. It might seem inconsequential to everyone else, but here I was thinking that I could have gotten away with lazing around and doing nothing on my vacation. What makes this sadder, is that my friends are all out of town. So here I am, at home, alone, having to do my schoolwork with no friends while my parents supervise. Thankfully it won’t be long till they get back. Hopefully I can salvage what’s left of this disastrous vacation.
