Dear Diary:

Today I read Shakespeare’s 'Not Marble, Nor Gilded Monuments'. I learnt many new things. The thing that impressed me the most was the theme of the poem. Shakespeare’s perception and philosophy of life is quite admirable. In the poem he eulogized the power of poetry. Poetry and art are immortal in the sense that they continue to live from one generation to another in the form of books and memories scattered in different parts of the world. However, buildings, statues, and gilded monuments are fixed on a particular place. Owing to their large size and immovability, they become an easy target of enemy artillery and cannons during war. But art lives on forever in the memories of people who dying hand them over to the next generations. I really liked the poem.

Dear Diary,
Sometimes you feel like if books were not there life would have been so boring. Our books are like hidden treasure. When we read them,The knowledge would store in our minds.Later we would tell these stories to our kids. The stories. would travel from one generation to another. This is the power of literature.Recently I read a book "Not marble not folded monuments" written by the legendary writer William Shakesphere. The book reveals the strength of literature. The book days that the kings made monuments and sculpture but all will be ruined in ward but the books and literature would travel from generations to generation transferring knowledge along.
Good night dear diary
