Dear Diary:
I was made the class monitor today! I am quite happy; but I am also feeling the weight of responsibilities on my shoulders. It is a very responsible job. My class teacher has expressed her confidence in me and given me the opportunity to prove my worth and stand up to her expectations. The first and foremost thing I have to do is let my friends know that I won’t be hanging around them in the class as usual. My responsibility will be to maintain discipline in the class during the shifting of periods as well as during the breaks. I will have to be very fair. I can’t give the other students any chance of feeling that I am biased. My second important role will be to behave as a perfect model of discipline. I will have to wear the best uniform; I will have to reach school in time; I will have to switch off the lights while leaving the class. I think leaders should be perfect role models to inspire the group they lead. Dear diary I promise you I will do my best to do the new responsible job assigned to me.
