Today I went to the Prem Niketan, an orphanage. I had taken my old clothes and toys to give to the children. I went there with my uncle, who visits the place often. I saw that the children were very sad. They did not have anything to play. Their clothes were also old.
When I gave them my toys they were very happy. Immediately they got together and started playing. Soon the room was filled with laughter. I was so happy to see the change in the atmosphere. I am so happy that I could make someone happy today.

Dear Diary:
Today the school conducted a visit to local ophanage as a part of the interact club activity. It was an eye opening experience for me.I met orphans . Meeting them brought tears to my eyes. Though they are provided all the facilities, yet I shuddered to think how these children managed to live in a world that had no hope or promise. I tried to imagine what kind of life they must have been living, and then I shuddered at the very thought of it. how strong these children were! I pray to God to give more strength and love and care from the people around them.
