This happened in the year 2010. It was the year when i had just joined college. Lions club have come to our college for a blood donation camp i was very eager to get my blood donated.
Many of my friends to avoid classes went to volunteer in aranging things for doantion camp. And some went on to donate blood so that they can give an excuse to the staff that they are tired and they want rest and went to hostel to take rest.
The donation camp was on fourth floor. I was goint to get my name registered when i saw one of my friend returning back as he was rejected i asked him the reason he said he was underweight and person has to be over 50 kg and should be over 18 years of age and should have more than 12 points of hb to donate blood.
Now i was born in aug 93 and i was not 18 years at this point, so i was dissapointed that i cannot give blood but i got an idea . They were checking our age through our id cards. Since we were first years we got our id carda juat recently and many had many issues in the details printed in id card. I used this as opurtunity and told the person that my dob is aug 92 and it has been misprinted, which they believed and allowed me for donating blood.
