Dear Diary,
Today, I learned that how important life skills are in life. Life skills simply are the skills that help one to deal with everyday events. So, it happened in the school today that we were given a task of teamwork. The task was to prepare a debate on the topic "Life skills should be taught in school or not." While doing this task, I came to know how important life skills are. Life skills include communication, empathy, listening, decision-making, creative and critical thinking, TIME MANAGEMENT, and the list goes on. I was awestruck to know that these are some of the most important skills and the one who absorbs these skills is able to face certain or uncertain events positively, without panicking.
After this task, I was in deep thought and decided to develop and polish my skills whether be creative writing or communicative skills. I feel that students should be taught and be equipped with these skills from a very young age so they can become a good person and an asset to society. Empathy is what I believe lacks much in society today. But if children will be taught to be empathetic with others, without any discrimination, the world will be a better place to live. But I also learned that it will start with me. So, from today I chose to develop life skills and report my progress to you.
