Dear Diary:
One of the worst floods of all times have hit God’s own country, the mesmerizing Kerala. Due to the enormous rainfall that started on August 8, 2018, all the rivers and dams of the state overflowed. Thus the lock-gates had to be opened to reduce the load of water from the dams. The continuous downpour further deteriorated the condition resulting in floods which was not seen in decades. More than 350 people have lost their lives in the floods so far. Thousands of people have become homeless. Infinite number of people has taken shelter in relief camps. Normal life has come to a standstill. It is expected to take many more months of hard-work to bring life to normalcy in Kerala. May God help the people of Kerala.
