Dear Diary,

Today, I got sentimental during our class 10thfarewell function.

The students of class IX and the staff of our school had organised a farewell function for us today in the school auditorium. We were welcomed warmly at the gate and a rose bud was given to each one of us. The theme of the farewell was 'red and black'. Everybody looked debonair and classy in their red and black formal attire: girls in sarees and boys in suits! The auditorium was decorated beautifully with red and black balloons and buntings. An entertainment programme of songs, dances and parodies was presented. each class 10th student was given a gift and a befitting title. The evening ended with a sumptuous dinner.

The farewell function was memorable and we all left with a heavy heart, sad to leave our beloved school.
