Dear diary,

I am indeed very lucky to have witnessed a very heroic event in my city.

It reminded me that every one is a hero. I saw a building burning Downton. People had called the fire station and firemen had arrived on time. One fireman climbed to the roof of the 32-storey building and rescued a child who had been trapped in the balcony of the 31st floor.

I was touched by the courage displayed by the firemen. I will never forget the image of the calmness on the rescued child's face.
