Dussehra is one of the most significant Hindu festival celebrated all across the country by different names and ways. It falls every year in the month of September or October twenty days earlier to the Diwali festival. Dussehra festival indicates the victory of truth over evil power as Lord Rama defeat demon king Ravana on this auspicious day. Dussehra has a great ceremonial and religious festival celebrated by the Hindu people with the worship of goddess Durga and lord Rama.
It is a ten days long festival out of which nine days celebrated as Navratri Festival by worshipping the goddess Durga and on tenth day Vijayadashami is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and devotion. On this day people worship arms, vehicles and books also. It is the time when people come closer with their families and friends and spend some quality time together.
