Diary entry on the happiest day of my life:

(Hint: Getting a cellph(o)ne from parents)

Monday, November 29, 2021

Time: 8:00 p.m.

Dear Diary

Today is certainly the happiest day of my life. My parents finally gave me a cellph(o)ne! What made me so happy is the fact that my parents felt that I was responsible enough to own a phone. They showed so much trust in me that I am honoured. I know for a fact that my brother, who is a year older than me, is not going to get his ph(o)ne for a while even though he desperately wants one. And I, who did not even ask for it, got it. Is that not reason enough to be happy? And to think that I can now be connected with my friends and ch(a)t with them without having to borrow Mumma’s ph(o)ne. The degree of independence I am enjoying is a gift in itself. What more could I ask for?
