Dear Diary:
I completed reading Three Men in a Boat (To say nothing about the dog) written by Jerome K Jerome . It has been the best humorous book I have read so far! The story is about three friends, Jim, George, and Harris going on a river journey accompanied by their dog, Montmorency. These three characters make the readers laugh with their funny and humorous anecdotes.
The narrator’s humorous way of narrating the incidents is beyond comparison. Be it the description of his imagined ailment, or the packing scene, or Uncle Podger's hanging of the picture, or the cheese scene, genuine humour is ubiquitous throughout the novel. Besides the ordinary humour, there are certain extreme humour scenes. Scenes such as Harris getting lost in the maze while offering help to the already lost visitors. Apart from the above mentioned scenes, there are many other scenes that make the reader laugh a lot. Humour is the essence of this novel.
I would recommend its reading to all my friends.
