Write a diary entry that we have successfully organized a peace march in your neighbourhood

‘Walk for Peace’ was organised by our neighbourhood community and took place this morning. The response for the march was quite good and 324 participants – consisting of people from all age groups, took part in the 5 kilometres walk. It was flagged off from the Trade Fair complex grounds, by the Inspector General of Police, at 6 AM sharp.
The bright yellow vests provided to all those who took part, presented a merry sight in the early morning light.
Refreshments kiosks were placed at intervals of 1 kilometre, to provide water or energy drink.
The march, concluded at the Rajan Memorial school grounds, where the town Mayor gave a short address – promoting peace and harmony and congratulating the neighbourhood community for organising the event. By 9 AM, everyone had dispersed, and the organisers were happy that the event was very successful.

Considering what a violent time we are living in, with all these heinous crimes, violence, fights and chaos occurring around us, I had always wanted to do something to spread and maintain, if not entirely, at least a bit of peace that we human are lacking so much nowadays.
However, that wish of mine came true today as we arranged and organized a peace march in our neighborhood today.
We planned for it for quite a while now and yesterday we finally got the permissions to march out in the name of peace.
What made it even better w the number of people that decided to join us.
It was overwhelming to walk down the roads of our neighborhood and being joined by almost all of them.
But, it was sad too as I realized just how much starved we are for peace, both in our country and in our minds and heart.
I hope that one day, someday we are able to bring in peace and harmony among ourselves and within ourselves too.
