Dear diary,

I'm back with another experience. Today I had been to a factory. When I see factories working, I feel very happy and proud. I visited to a cloth factory with my parents. A foreman there explain us the working of the cloth factory. First of all, he introduced to us how to change pure cotton into thread. He told us the method how these threads have so many varieties of cotton cloth. Then he explained how the thread is changed into different varieties of cotton on huge machines. Then he took us around the dying department. It was surely a most beautiful scene of a large number of colour schemes displayed above the machines. Then he explained us how different kinds of cloth were being packed into bundles to be sent to markets. I enjoyed leaning these.

But one thing which hurt me was the lot of pollution caused by the harmful gases released from factory. I saw that the workers in the factory are disposing the waste material in the soil and throwing them in water bodies. From the running machines there, are releasing a lot of pollution. As humans that are exposed to air pollution, water pollution and soil pollution among others, we also face an increased risk of falling victim to illness and disease. Many species have come close to extinction and many more are likely to face a similar fate if we do not reduce the amount of damage we are doing to this planet in the future. So, to reduce pollution from factories, we have to make the switch to clean energy Sources, use technology to destroy pollutants and choose non-toxic materials to manufacture goods.

Today I enjoyed and learnt a lot in the factory. It was a memorable day for me.

Good night
