Most of the times when we visit a place, we remember it for scenic views, shopping streets or monuments but there are times when you just can’t stop thinking about the food you had at that place. Ahmedabad is one such place when after several days, I am not able to forget the delicious street food available at every corner. The title of the post is slightly misleading as I will be talking more about what to eat in Ahmedabad in two days.
It was my return to state of Gujarat after 11 years. My last visit was with a group of 20 friends and I don’t need to say anything further how awesome that trip was. We covered several places like Surat, Baroda, Rajkot, Diu and Somnath on that trip, but we didn’t visit Ahmedabad. So I didn’t know exactly what to expect from the city and it kept on giving me pleasant surprises.
If there is one city in India which can set up an example of how tourist infrastructure can be developed and maintained, Ahmedabad should be a case study. To be honest Ahmedabad doesn’t have a specific spectacular place but the facilities at all places have been top class specially when compared to other Indian cities. During this entire journey I will point out several instances of how strategically city has been targeted towards tourists. As they say the first impression is the last impression, look how beautifully Ahemdabad airport has been decorated which is an amalgamation of art and luxury.
