A diary writing on the occasion of Dussehra what we spend on a day

Tuesday,  

29th October, 10 PM

Dear Diary,

Today was a happily sad day. It was Dussehra. It was happy as I witnessed a beautiful show of fireworks. The effigy of the evil Ravana was burnt with great show and mirth. It was sad as the nine-day festivity of Navratri came to an end.

The past nine days have been just wonderful. There was so much of feasting and celebrations. Every day was so eventful. Today also was remarkable. How brightly Ravana burnt. The blaze, the crackling sound were splendid.

I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Now that it is over I am quite sad. I am too tired today. I will write to you later.
