Himandri Ranges are one of the three parallel ranges of Himalayas.

Himadri is the Northern parallel of Himalayan ranges which consist of some loftiest peaks. The height of the tallest peak of Himadri ranges is 6000 mts. Most of the prominent Himalayan peaks are situated in Himandri parallel.

Siwalik ranges are also known as outer Himalayas which can also be spelled as Shiwalik ranges.

The shiwalik mountain ranges extends from Indus river with an average altitude of 2000 mts. The region of Shiwalik ranges were known as Manak Parbat in ancient Sanskrit texts.
