Festivals are always welcome and we love to celebrate them in our own way. With the current economic scenario when the price of all commodities are sky rocketing running on a stringent budget is very important. Festivals mean overspending hence more budgeting is required but to add fuel to the fire expenses are extremely rising with the forceful extraction of Puja subscription. Almost all the Puja pandals are demanding money and the minimum contribution is Rs. 500.

This is literally an exhortation. It is exploitation of us commoners. I would be highly obliged if you would publish this letter in your esteemed daily so that the authorities concerned are aware about this matter.

Sir,

Through the column of your extreme daily newspaper I would like to express my concern regarding the collection of puja subscription forcefully in our locality.

Festivals are always welcome and we love to celebrate them in our own way but the current situation is not supporting us to celebrate any festival in a luxurious way. Durgapuja is the main festival of the Bengali People. Every year they waite for this time. From the four corners of the world the Bengali People manage to return to their homeland. In this time the puja committee put an extra pressure on the people and force them to pay more subscription which is beyond their capacity. In our locality also some people are trying to collect puja subscription forcefully which is against the huminity.

In this circumstances, I am requesting you to take up your sharp pen to write about this issue. So that the Government should immediately do take proper steps.
