All 2ohm resistance are in series so, R = 6*2 = 12ohms

Now, 4ohms and 12 ohms are in parallel so Equivalent resistance is

 \frac{1}{R_{eq}}  =  \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{1}{12}  \\  \frac{1}{R_{eq}}  =  \frac{12 + 4}{48}  =  \frac{16}{48}  =  \frac{1}{3}

 R_{eq}= 3ohms
