Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan or SSA is a scheme which was launched by the Indian government to make the elementary education in the country universalized.
This was done in order to promote education so that we can have a higher literacy rate.
This was also included in the 86th Amendment of the constitution which made elementary education free and compulsory fro everyone between the ages of 6 and 14.
