Is co-education good or bad?
According to me co-education is a better way to develop the students with thoughts of equality. Co-education is integrated education of both the sexes in same institution. This helps in growing more confident and rational citizen for a country. There are several other benefits of co-education.
Children grow up with confidence in themselves.
Lesser or no feeling of awkwardness/shyness towards opposite gender.
They learn the practical equality for each gender.
They learn to make healthy and confident relations with the other gender.
They learn to create a good social environment.
Children learn behaving and mutually respecting the opposite gender.
They are no more too much obsessed or extra curious about the opposite gender. If the child is in contact and friends with the people from opposite gender he/she respects them and their views more.
They know and learn the views and common opinions of opposite sex.
There are more chances of the child being generous and helpful towards the other sex people.
They are good at communicating and presenting their thoughts in front of the other sex.
Although many claim that co-ed distracts the young students as the catch up feelings for the other sex. But this is a natural phenomenon that opposite sexes feel attracted towards each other as adolescence hits them. This will happen even if they are in all boys or all girls school and they come in contact with the other sex.
