personality is purposive in its nature. The purposive nature of human personality is amply indicated by its selective information-processing, free decision-making, and creative spontaneity. Creative purpose is the main theme of human behaviour.
Its creative purpose may range from biological creativity and utilitarian creativity to aesthetic and intellectual creativity of the highest order. All other forms of behaviour are subservient to the creative purpose of an individual.
The corollary of the creative principle in human personality is the appreciative principle. The expressions of the appreciative principle are love, sympathy, understanding, cooperation, and so on. Creative purpose is the principle of individuation. It is the source of uniqueness of an individual.
Complex Personality
A complex personality is more complicated than ordinary personality types. The trait that sets them apart from others is their introversion. They keep their thoughts and intentions to themselves; they even keep their body language well covered under many layers.
A complex personality may appear to be like any normal person having his own opinions, questions, curiosities, beliefs and points of views, etc.
One may find a person with complex personality reasonably confident, continually trying to improve himself. However, in his mind some conflicts might be going on at all times. It has been found complex personalities are usually more creative, intelligent, revolutionary, and sometimes more lonely than people having normal personality.
The character Macbeth in Shakespeare’s famous play Macbeth can be termed as a complex personality.
