An elephant is a very big animal on the earth. It has four legs like large pillars, two big ears it looks like big fans, a long trunk and a short tail on the back. The male elephant has two long teeth called tusks.
The foods of elephant are leaves, plants, grains, fruits, etc. they are very clever and obedient, elephants are found in Africa and Asia. Generally, the elephants are in grey colour and in Thailand, they are of white colour. The lifespan of elephants is more than 100 years.
Elephants live in Jungles and also seen in zoos and circus. The growth of elephants is around 11 feet in height and 13,000 pounds weight. The largest elephant ever has been measured as 13 feet in height and 24,000 pounds in weight. A single elephant can eat 400 pounds of food and drink 30 gallons of water daily.
Elephant skin is one inch thick and very sensitive. They have the capacity to hear the sounds from long distance around 5 miles away. The male elephants start living alone when they become an adult and however female lives in a group. The oldest female of a group called as matriarch.
The elephants have so much intelligence, excellent hearing power, and a good sense of smell but they have poor eyesight.
